Art San Diego 2020 celebrates with more artists and designers, bringing more art where attendees can buy direct from the artists and galleries. Explore an amazing array of contemporary and modern art and design at Art San Diego, taking place at the San Diego Convention Center located along the beautiful waterfront setting of San Diego Bay. Presenting its 12th edition in 2020, Art San Diego features cutting-edge fine art, decorative art, and design from a diverse range of regional, national, and international exhibitors, as well as extraordinary show programming, live entertainment, and other exclusive events. 

In the Art San Diego Pavilion, you’ll see well-established galleries, art publishers, and artist collectives featuring thousands of paintings, glassworks, mixed media, and more. Then there’s the [SOLO] Project Pavilion for emerging independent artists, fine art photographers, and designers.

Show Frequently Asked Questions

Are children allowed?

Yes, children of all ages are allowed, and those 15 and under receive free admission. However, children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult, and no strollers are permitted. Oh, and please remind your little ones to never touch the art.

Are strollers allowed at the show?

Yes, strollers are permitted to use in the show.

I’ll be sightseeing in San Diego before coming to the show. Can I bring my backpack?

For your safety, large bags will not be permitted in the event. Please do not bring suitcases, folding bicycles, scooters, or any items bigger than a handbag or laptop bag.

I forgot to bring my ticket

No problem, just swing by ticketing counter at the show venue and we’ll check you in.

Can I take pictures of the artwork?

Photography of the artwork is only allowed with the exhibitor’s permission.

Who is that guy taking my picture?

Press and promotional photography and filming are taking place during the show. Attendance at the fair implies permission for your image to be used for non-commercial purposes (including media reports).

Can I bring my vape pen?

Smoking or vaping is not permitted on the show premises.

My dog is super cute and never barks. She can even fit in my purse. Can I please bring her in?

We love pets, too! However, only ADA-certified service dogs assisting handicapped or disabled individuals are permitted inside the venue.

On-site private vehicle parking is available at the underground garage located below the San Diego Convention Center. Rates may range from $15 to $20. There are no in and out privileges. Directly across the street from the center, on the corner of Harbor and 8th Avenue, is a 2,000-space parking structure. Off-site parking is available at numerous nearby parking lots and garages in downtown San Diego. Many are within walking distance of the convention center.


Need a refresher while browsing the art? Stop by the Louis Jadot Wine lounge where you can have a taste, plan your next move, and decide which piece you’ll take home. There is also a full bar located in the Art San Diego Lounge.
