The Salon Project is a patron supported exhibition that celebrates a select artist working in the classical tradition of fine art. This Inaugural Year exhibition features portraits of friends, artist and personalities living in Southern California. This on going portrait project is a component of a larger body of work entitled Problemas y Secretos Maravillosos de Las Indias, an historical study of the American continent, expressed in paintings, drawings, photographs and sculpture.

Born and raised in National City, California, Raul Guerrero possesses a distinctive and important perspective on the regions's inherent hybridity.

We consider a work of art as a project to be stated and to occur without a univocal sense. Art today needs a place where a relational game is established with the public and their environment. We aim at malleable, ductile designs. We are committed to defying conventionalism and stage our artist’s paradoxical conjectures.
